My teacher and friend has a listening heart. Her voice is never loud, but quiet and reassuring. A scientist grounded in love of Creation, her words are simple and few. God grant me an encouraging heart.
This is my journal. I will write in it, paste quotations and scripture, and perhaps add photographs one day. The thoughts and observations are mine alone, and the blog speaks only for me. I alone am responsble for the content of the postings. Please regard your visit as a glimpse into my personal experience in our journey together, as we connect community with community and live into being God's one global family.

Wanderers for the Love of God
Second and Third Century Christians were called "wanderers for the love of God". In Passion for Pilgrimage, Alan Jones states, "That is what we are called to be, wanderers for the love of God, calling our brothers and sisters into an ever deepening and widening fellowship". With a desire to more fully serve the promises of Baptism and to live into the love of Christ, I found World Mission service through The Episcopal Church, guided by the community of Grace Cathedral in San Francisco, and the Diocese of California. I was first appointed a missioner to The Diocese of Jerusalem in April, 2006, when I served as Sacristan at St. George's Cathedral and Course Assistant at St. George's College. In 2008 I was called by the Bishop of Liberia to serve at Cuttington University in Suakoko, Bong County as the Millennium Development Goals Officer and Assistant to the University President, Dr. Henrique Tokpa. For the past year and a half I have served as misioner in the Diocese of Curitiba, Brazil. In TheGospel of Thomas, parts of which some scholars believe may date as early as the mid first century a.d., it is written, "And Jesus said, Become passerby". Dart and Riegart in their annotated translation suggest that a possible translation is "become wanderers," referring to the itinerant lifestyle of Jesus and his disciples.
