Commissioning

Today, Bishop Marc (The Rt. Rev. Marc Handley Andrus, Bishop of the Diocese of California) commissioned me for mission service. Presented by the Dean of Grace Cathedral Alan Jones and our Canon Pastor Mary Haddad in a service written by our Canon Presenter Mark Stanger,
it was a blessing to experience the love and support of so many, as we in community go into the world to serve God's mission and move toward an earthly vision of the Reign of God. Clearly this moment is about that. It is about all who find their mission as parents, spouses and partners, teachers, NGO workers, volunteers, priests & deacons and in all the work that honors humanity. I am the proxy for all who serve their brothers and sisters in Christ. I am grateful for my spiritual home, and my friends who were present; Ed and Victoria and two of their children Willy and Annie.
