National Day of Fasting & Prayer

Today is the National Day of Fasting & Prayer. There were no church services scheduled today, and since the President of the University is going abroad, we worked until Noon. As in our country, many regard such holidays as a vacation day to spend with their family and and friends, and a time to share a special meal.--something like Thanksgiving. I chose to observe the day set aside to fast during the day. I began the day with "Daily Devotions", and I focused on prayer for healing in Liberia and the world. I believe that when I set aside the material things that I desire, it will makes room for God to reveal his will for me.

God, bless the people of Liberia. Comfort, protect, and heal them In Christ's name. Amen.
