The Story

Last night, Christmas came to St. Peter's Mission Church as the congregation joined to portray the Christmas Story. Young and old shepherds, wise men and wise women, angels and The Holy Family were all represented as carols were sung and the story read. Too small a congregation for a children's' pageant, everyone participates. Curtains, tablecloths, scarves and cord transformed all, and moved us through time to Shepherd's Field. For a moment in time, we lived into the story. Candles were lit by each, like so many stars in the sky. "Silent Night, Holy Night." It was the magic of Christmas.
