We are entering the final phase of planning a conference in Santo Domingo, bringing together representatives from the Global South & North for an eco-justice global warming conference. Cosponsored by the Episcopal Diocese of California and Episcopal Anglican Diocese of Curitiba, there will be representatives from countries in South & North America, Central America and Caribe. I was researching flight information and rates for a colleague from Cuba when I discovered that while I am in Brazil, my laptop is registered in the United States (I am a U.S. citizen) and I am blocked from accessing this infomation due to U.S. State Department policy. I was not attempting to purchase a ticket for myself or for anyone else, simply attempting to access information. I have no plans to visit Cuba and if and when I did, I would apply for the proper visa.
